Private Tour Malang – Sukamade – Gilimanuk 5D/4N. In this tour you will explore East Java. Java is one of the most visited islands in Indonesia. East Java is a perfect touristic destination. The area offers a variety of natural attractions ranging from mountains, beaches, caves to waterfalls.
Meanwhile, east java is known for Mount Bromo, an active volcano and one of Indonesia’s iconic landmarks. Also, magnificent viewpoints to take in the panoramic views and the sky at sunrise. However, in Sukamade you also will get the best experience by its beach, a favorite nesting ground for turtles. Every night, green turtles crawl their way out from the ocean to lay eggs.
DAY 01. MALANG – BROMO
At 8 a.m., you will be picked up at your accommodation or at the train station and go to Lumajang to take a look at the Tumpak Sewu waterfall. Here you will hike to the waterfall under the guidance of a local guide. After spending some time at Tumpak Sewu, the drive will continue towards Bromo, this drive will take approximately 4 hours. You will stay in an accommodation near the Bromo volcano.
DAY 02. BROMO – KALIBARU
At 3:00 in the night, you will be picked up by jeep and taken to the lookout point to enjoy the sunrise. After the sunrise, we will leave for the sand plain. From here you can continue to the crater on horseback or on foot. Then you will go back to the accommodation for shower. After check-out the journey continues to Kalibaru, a small simple place, but gives the REAL Indonesian feeling. Arriving in Kalibaru, you will transfer to the accommodation for check-in and the rest of the day is free.
DAY 03. KALIBARU – SUKAMADE
After breakfast, the journey continues by jeep to Sukamade. While drive of about 5 hours, you will drive through traditional villages, past beautiful rice fields, through the jungle and rivers. Along the way, you will make a stop at a palm sugar factory and the viewpoint over Green Bay. Upon arrival in Sukamade, you will be taken to the accommodation for check-in. This is a primitive accommodation without any luxuries. While dinner is prepared you can recover from the long bumpy ride in the company of mischievous monkeys.
At 8 p.m., the local guide will take you to the beach to look for a giant sea turtle. It may take a while for the team to find 1, but definitely worth the wait and especially when the turtle also lays eggs. During the short walk back to the accommodation, you will notice that certain tree trunks and plants give light in the dark. The guide will explain to you what causes this miraculous phenomenon! (D)
DAY 04. SUKAMADE – BANYUWANGI
After an early wake-up call, you will be picked up at 6 a.m. to visit the hatchery. Here you can watch the team take care of the eggs and baby turtles. With a bucket full of turtles, we will once again go to the beach, but this time to release the turtles. The guide will give certain instructions for the turtle’s well-being. We kindly ask you to observe these instructions. After all the turtles are out of sight we return to the accommodation for breakfast and a shower. Then we continue the jeep ride to Banyuwangi. Also, a drive of about 4 hours through the jungle, over rivers and bumpy dirt roads. Upon arrival in Banyuwangi, you will go to the accommodation for check-in and the rest of the day is free.
DAY 05. BANYUWANGI – KETAPANG – GILIMANUK
After breakfast and check-out at the accommodation, you will go to Ketapang port to cross to Gilimanuk by ferry. The crossing takes about 1 hour, but due to the time difference, you will arrive in Bali 2 hours later. From Gilimanuk you can continue your journey on your own initiative.
