Day 1. Balikpapan – Bontang – Samarinda – Sangatta
Morning departs for overland to Sangatta via Bontang in 9 hours approximately. On the way, we will make a stop for lunch. After lunch we will continue our trip. Arrive at Sangatta in late afternoon, check in at local hotel and rest. Dinner will be prepared.
Day 2. Sangatta – Kutai National Park & Surrounding
Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast we will start our journey to transfer to Kutai National Park. We continue by motorized canoe for about 20 minutes. As soon as we arrive there, we will meet with the local team and direct to our first jungle tour to find any wild animal. Then we will walk deeper in the park and back to the ranger camp for lunch and take rest. Furthermore, we continue trek in the afternoon and night, walking after dinner to find nocturnal. Meals and accommodation will be prepared at ranger camp.
Day 3. Sangatta – Kutai National Park & Surrounding
Early in the morning, we will do trekking before breakfast to spot Orangutan activities in the morning when they leave their nest. Then go back to the camp for breakfast. We will continue our second trekking in the afternoon in time of Orangutan build the nest. Then we will go back for dinner.
Day 4. Kutai Park – Sangatta – Samarinda – Balikpapan
After breakfast proceed leave the park and ride back to Sangatta before midday. Then we continue overland to Balikpapan, arrive in late afternoon.
