From Temples to Volcanoes

Day 1.

In the morning, you will be picked up at 09.00 a.m. at your hotel in Yogyakarta to start the journey by car or minivan to Bromo. This ride will approximately take about 7 hours. We will make several stops on our way for lunch and taking pictures. Then you will stay in the accommodation in Sukapura, a village near to Bromo.  After check-in it is time for dinner and rest.

Optional:

• Visit Madakaripura Waterfall, pick up is 08.00 a.m.
• Travel by train from Yogyakarta to Probolinggo. Departing time from train station Tugu is 11.38 a.m. and time of arrival in Probolinggo is 06.47 p.m. Estimated check-in time at the accommodation is 08.00 p.m.

Day 2.

Pick up at the accommodation with a jeep at 03.00 a.m. We’ll take you to the Kingkong sun viewpoint, the best location at Bromo for the beautiful sunrise. After sunrise it is time to visit the Mount Bromo. You can walk to the enormous crater or ride on a horse. When you’re finished exploring Bromo, you will go back to the accommodation for breakfast.

The trip continues by car or minivan to Banyuwangi. During the drive, we make several stops for lunch and resting. Arrived in Banyuwangi, you will be dropped off at the accommodation in Licin for check-in.

Day 3.

At midnight 01.00 a.m. you will be picked up with a jeep and start the night-tour to Ijen. From the crater rim you will be escorted by a local guide to the crater. Here you can witness the magical blue flame. You can enjoy the wonderful blue colored lake during and after sunrise. We walk back to the jeep to go back to the accommodation.

Drop off at the harbor Ketapang after breakfast and check-out at the accommodation. In just one hour you will cross over by ferry to Bali. The estimated arrival time at the harbor Gilimanuk is 12.00 p.m.
