Itinerary
Day 1 — Labuan Bajo to Waerebo Village Trek
Begin your journey early from Labuan Bajo, heading towards the remote highlands of Flores through scenic coastal and mountain roads. Arrive at Denge Village, the starting point of your trekking experience, where the landscape slowly transitions into untouched forest and traditional rural life.
Start your guided trek through dense tropical forest, crossing small rivers and ascending gradually into the misty mountains of Waerebo. After approximately 2–3 hours of trekking, arrive at the iconic Waerebo Village, a hidden cultural sanctuary surrounded by dramatic green hills. Participate in the traditional welcome ceremony led by the village elders, offering a respectful introduction to the local Manggarai culture. Spend the afternoon observing daily village life, interacting with locals, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere far from modern distractions. Overnight in a traditional Mbaru Niang house, sharing a unique communal stay experience under the warm hospitality of the Waerebo community.
Day 2 — Sunrise Village Experience & Return to Labuan Bajo
Wake up to a magical sunrise above the clouds, where Waerebo reveals its most breathtaking views in the soft morning light. Take time to capture photos, explore the surroundings, or connect with locals before preparing for your descent. Begin trekking back down to Denge Village, retracing your path through the lush forest landscape. Continue your journey by car back to Labuan Bajo, enjoying scenic views along the way.
