Trek Into Traditional Flores
Leave Labuan Bajo behind and travel towards Denge, the starting area for the Wae Rebo trek. The trail passes through dense rainforest filled with ferns, orchids and palm trees before reaching the traditional village. After an overnight stay, return through the forest and continue to Cancar for its famous Spiderweb Rice Fields viewpoint.

Through the Flores Rainforest
The trek from the Denge area to Wae Rebo takes approximately 3.5 hours. The trail follows a narrow path through dense rainforest with ferns, orchids and palm trees, accompanied by the sounds of birds and surrounded by lush mountain scenery.
Stay in Wae Rebo Village
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a traditional ceremony before dinner and an overnight stay in the authentic village. The experience offers an opportunity to encounter the traditional lifestyle and cultural heritage of the local community.
An Active Cultural Journey
This experience involves a multi-hour trek through forest and mountain terrain. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended. The itinerary combines outdoor activity with a simple overnight village experience rather than conventional hotel accommodation.

Wae Rebo Trekking Journey
A two-day journey combining rainforest trekking, traditional village life and scenic landscapes in the mountains of Flores.
Trekking Into Wae Rebo
Travel from Labuan Bajo towards Denge, where the journey to Wae Rebo begins. From Denge Village, continue by scooter to the trekking starting point. The trek takes approximately 3.5 hours through lush rainforest and mountain landscapes, following a narrow trail surrounded by ferns, orchids and palm trees.
Upon arrival in Wae Rebo, experience a traditional welcome ceremony before enjoying dinner and spending the night in the authentic village.
Return Trek & Spiderweb Rice Fields
After a simple breakfast, trek back through the forest towards the scooter parking area and continue to Denge Village. From there, travel onwards to Cancar and make a short climb to the viewpoint overlooking the distinctive Spiderweb Rice Fields.
Continue to the Pelataran Komodo viewpoint for panoramic views before the driver transfers you to your hotel or the airport in Labuan Bajo.
Trekking Conditions
The trekking route follows forest and mountain terrain and takes approximately 3.5 hours on the way to Wae Rebo. The return trek is followed by road transfers to Cancar and Labuan Bajo.
