Day 1. Labuan Bajo – Waerebo
Today we start the journey on Flores to the traditional village of Waerebo. You will make a stop at View Pelataran Komodo where you will have a beautiful view of the Komodo Islands. After this, the drive continues to Lembor to take a look at the beautiful vast rice fields.
Furthermore, we can enjoy the beautiful white sandy beach Nangalili for a while. From Denge Village you will go on scooters to the starting point for the trek to Waerebo. Accompanied by a local guide, we will make a trek of about 3,5 hours through the beautiful green landscape with amazing views. Upon arrival in Waerebo, you will be welcomed by the lovely villagers with a traditional welcome ceremony. You will dine and spend the night at the authentic kampung.
Day 2. Waerebo – Ruteng
After a simple breakfast, you will make the trek back to the scooter stand to return to Denge Village. We will continue by car to Cancar where you will make a short climb to the viewpoint over the Spiderweb Rice fields. After the rice fields, you will go to Liang Bua village. Here you will take a look at the cave that has become famous for the discovery of the girl ‘Flo’. You can also visit the adjacent museum. In the museum you can find much information about the history of the cave, but also about the island of Flores and the Komodo dragons.
Day 3. Ruteng – Bajawa
Today the journey continues with a long drive of about 5 hours to Bajawa past Aimere. In Aimere, you will take a look at how the local palm wine (arrack) is produced. After this, you will visit the traditional village of Bena Village. Here you can take a walk through the village, meet the lovely people and watch the women weaving the sarongs. After getting acquainted with the villagers, you will go to the Malanage Hot Spring. Further on the way, we will make a stop at Wolobobo Hill to enjoy the magnificent view of Inerie Mountain, Langa Valley and the city of Bajawa.
Day 4. Bajawa
Today is a free day and can be filled as you wish. You can take a walk in the area and relax for a while at the accommodation.
Day 5. Bajawa – Moni
After breakfast, you will first take a look at the waterfall Air Terjun Ogi-Ogi. After this, the journey continues to Moni. On the way, we will first make a stop at Blue Stone Beach to have lunch along the beach. Furthermore, we make several stops to take pictures of the beautiful scenery, including at the Detusoko rice fields. Also, on the way you will visit Rumah Adat Wologai, a traditional house in Wologai Village. Arriving in Moni, you will transfer to the accommodation for check-in where you can rest before the excursion to Kelimutu for sunrise.
Day 6. Moni – Maumere
At 03.00 a.m. you will be picked up and go to the world phenomenon Kelimutu to enjoy the sunrise and admire the 3 colored lakes. The climb to this is about half an hour. After the sunrise, we will take a look at the Murundao waterfall. You can take a walk here and enjoy the fresh water. Then you will be taken back to the accommodation for breakfast and shower. After check-out, we continue the journey to Koka Beach where you can have lunch and enjoy the beautiful white beach. In Maumere, you will go to the accommodation.
Day 7. Maumere
Today is a free day and can be filled as you wish. You can go snorkeling or relax on the beach.
Day 8. Departure from Maumere
Today, unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye to the beautiful island of Flores. You will be picked up at the desired time and go to the airport to return home or continue your journey to another island.
