A rugged two-day journey from Banyuwangi into the remote rainforest and coastline of Sukamade, combining 4WD adventure with a unique sea turtle experience.
4WD Journey Into the Rainforest
Meet your guide and driver in Banyuwangi and begin the journey towards Sukamade. Leave the main roads behind as the route continues by 4WD jeep through rural landscapes, lowland rainforest, rivers and rugged terrain towards the remote area of Meru Betiri National Park. Continue to Sukamade and check in at the local accommodation.
After dinner, prepare for the evening wildlife experience. Accompanied by a local guide or conservation team, head towards Sukamade Beach for the opportunity to observe sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. Return to the accommodation after the observation and rest overnight.
Morning Conservation Experience & Return
Start the morning with the possibility of visiting the local turtle conservation area and observing the early stages of the conservation process. After breakfast and check-out, begin the return journey by jeep through the forest and rugged terrain towards Banyuwangi.
