Sorong to Saonek Kecil

Your expedition begins in Sorong, where the crew welcomes you upon arrival. If you are staying at a hotel before the cruise, the crew will arrange your pick-up from the hotel lobby before boarding.

Once aboard, settle into your surroundings and enjoy lunch as the journey begins. Later, cruise towards Pulau Saonek Kecil, located at the entrance to Raja Ampat National Park and offering an introduction to the marine life and scenery that await throughout the expedition.

Depending on weather conditions, the cruise may begin from the north or south. This sample itinerary begins by heading south.

North Batanta

Continue to North Batanta, an area of sparkling waters, numerous small islands and sandbanks where manta rays may be encountered.

The area also holds a fascinating reminder of history in the form of a World War II Japanese aircraft. On land, take a short walk to a beautiful waterfall before returning to the vessel.

Later, relax on the sun deck while continuing the journey south towards Misool.

Daram Islands

Enter the Daram Islands, the easternmost island group in the Misool area. Thanks to a strict no-fishing policy, the surrounding waters are home to impressive sea-fan forests and extensive soft corals.

Explore the underwater world through snorkeling or diving at sites such as Andiamo and Candy Store, where barracudas and pygmy seahorses can be found among the vibrant marine environment.

South East Misool

Discover the spectacular underwater landscapes of South East Misool and explore the famous dive sites of Boo Window and Magic Mountain, areas known for exceptional marine biodiversity.

Meet local park rangers on the white-sand beaches of Yillet Island and experience the remarkable combination of lush scenery above the water and rich marine environments below.

Wayil Area

Climb to a viewpoint overlooking the famous heart-shaped blue lagoon, surrounded by vibrant coral reefs.

Alternatively, explore the maze of rocks and channels around the Wayil Islands by speedboat or kayak.

Discover iconic dive sites including Wedding Cake, Four Kings and Neptune's Fantasea, with the option of a night dive after sunset.

Balbulol & Farondi

Explore a natural labyrinth of cone-shaped rocks, sheer cliffs and hidden pools around Misool's north-eastern islands.

At the right time of year, some inner lagoons may host thousands of stingless jellyfish. Explore the area's caves and rich soft-coral environments, where nudibranchs, rare mollusks and crustaceans can be found.

Piaynemo

Discover Keruo Channel and Melissa's Garden, where impressive shallow coral gardens create one of the region's outstanding marine environments.

Between dives, enjoy kayaking or walk to the top of the hill above Star Lagoon for views across hundreds of limestone formations. Hidden rock pools offer another peaceful way to experience the landscape.

Kawe & Aljuy Bay

Continue to South Kawe, where manta rays may be encountered at cleaning stations or feeding near the surface between the two Eagle Rocks.

There is also an opportunity to visit Aljuy Bay and learn about pearl farming, from seeding through to harvest. The surrounding waters also offer opportunities to encounter rare marine creatures and enjoy rich night-diving experiences.

Wayag Island

On the way to Wayag, cross the Equator into the Northern Hemisphere and enter one of Raja Ampat's most spectacular landscapes.

Discover a vast bay surrounded by hundreds of mushroom-shaped islets, white-sand beaches and turquoise-blue waters, with opportunities to encounter black-tip reef sharks and manta rays.

Explore the area by water, climb Mount Pindito for an unforgettable panoramic view, or swim and dive around the pelagic-rich waters and Figure 8 Rock.

Yanggefo

Continue to Yanggefo for a change of scenery and explore its lush mangrove forests by kayak.

The contrast between green mangroves and clear waters creates a unique environment where birds and marine life thrive. Colourful coral grows among the roots of the trees, making snorkeling and diving around Citrus Ridge and Mangrove Ridge a memorable experience.

The Dampier Strait

Explore the Dampier Strait, beginning with a visit to either Airborek or Sawandarek Jetty and enjoy the area's world-class diving.

Continue to fish-rich waters such as Sardine Reef or Cape Kri, followed by a night dive at Batu Lima, where there may be an opportunity to encounter the elusive walking shark.

Sorong

Return to Sorong for the final morning of your expedition. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast aboard the vessel while the crew prepares for disembarkation.

After leaving the vessel, the crew will assist with your luggage and escort you to the airport or a nearby hotel for your onward journey.
