Itinerary
Day 1 — Yogyakarta Departure & Journey to Bromo
Begin your journey from Yogyakarta in the morning, meeting your fellow travelers and guide before departing toward East Java. The journey takes you across scenic landscapes of Central and East Java, passing traditional villages, rice fields, and volcanic backdrops that gradually set the tone for the adventure ahead. Enjoy rest stops along the way for meals and relaxation. Arrive in the Bromo area by late afternoon or evening, check in to your accommodation, and take time to rest. Your guide will provide a short briefing for the early sunrise experience. Prepare for an early wake-up call as the highlight of Mount Bromo awaits the next morning.
Day 2 — Bromo Sunrise Experience & Transfer to Ijen
Depart early before dawn for the iconic Mount Bromo sunrise experience. Travel by 4WD jeep to the viewpoint, where you will witness the dramatic sunrise over Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and the vast Tengger caldera. Continue your exploration by crossing the Sea of Sand and trekking up to the crater rim for a closer look at this active volcano. After returning to the hotel for breakfast and refreshment, begin your journey toward the Ijen area in Banyuwangi. The drive offers changing landscapes from volcanic highlands to coastal regions. Arrive at your accommodation near Ijen in the evening and rest early in preparation for the midnight trek.
Day 3 — Ijen Blue Fire Trek & Return Journey
Start your adventure around midnight with a transfer to the base of Mount Ijen.
