Day 1. Timika – Ewer Airport – Agats Town
Arrive in the morning at Timika Airport. Then proceed to internal Papua domestic flight terminal, for your flight to Ewer Airport of Asmat region. After you arrive, you will continue with engine canoe or speed boat to Agats town in 35 minutes. Agats is the central town for Asmat Region. Then check in at your hotel, after that you will visit the famous Asmat Museum.
Lunch and dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 2. Agats – Omanesep
After breakfast, you will go to the pier. Then take the boat to go to Omanesep Village about 3 hours, you will sail at the shores of Arafura Sea. Arrive at Omanesep Village, you will explore the village. Lunch and dinner will be served. You will stay overnight at local house. In the evening the locals of Omanesep Village will drumming for welcoming you to their village.
Day 3. Stay Omanesep Village for Ceremony
After breakfast you will enjoy the traditional dancing ceremony, performing by the local Asmat of Omanesep. The ceremony starts in the morning until lunch time. After lunch, we will return to Agats.
Day 4. Agats – Ewer Airport – Timika
After breakfast transfer by boat about 35 minutes to Ewer Airport for your flight to Timika. Arrive in Timika, you will go to the hotel and have lunch at the hotel or local restaurant. Furthermore, you will visit “Kuala Kencana “, the small town inside the Papuan rain forest. It was built for American Gold mining staff and workers called Freeport Indonesia, but you can visit it after got permission from security. You can see the Golf court and have dinner at the restaurant. You also can enjoy the best wine and beverages. Then go back to hotel.
Day 5. Timika – Out
Breakfast at the hotel, then you will go to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
