Bali Gateway Cultural & Nature Journey

An 11-day private journey across Bali combining temples, villages, rice terraces, waterfalls, outdoor adventures and time to relax along the coast.

Arrival in Bali

Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, meet your driver and transfer to your accommodation in Seminyak. Check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Rice Terraces, Waterfall & Northern Bali

Travel north towards Lovina with visits to Alas Kedaton and its forest environment, followed by Taman Kupu-Kupu butterfly garden. Continue to the UNESCO-listed cultural landscape of Jatiluwih to enjoy its extensive rice terraces. After lunch, continue to Banyumala Twin Waterfall and take a short walk through the lush surroundings before arriving in Lovina for check-in.

Dolphins & Northern Coast

Start early with a boat trip along the northern coast to look for dolphins. After returning to the accommodation, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Walk along Lovina’s black-sand beach, relax at the hotel or optionally add a snorkeling experience.

Bedugul Highlands & Ubud Heritage

Visit a local fruit market before continuing to the Bedugul Botanical Garden. Explore the gardens and continue to Ulun Danu Beratan Temple on the shores of Lake Beratan. After lunch, travel towards Ubud and visit Puri Saren Agung, the historic royal palace of Ubud, before checking in.

Ayung River Rafting & Ubud

Head to the Ayung River for an approximately 13-kilometre rafting adventure through tropical forest, waterfalls and dramatic river scenery. After the activity, return to the starting point to freshen up before visiting Alas Harum Ubud. The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore Ubud, visit the Monkey Forest or browse the local art market.

Cycling Through Local Bali

Explore the countryside around Ubud by bicycle. Ride through traditional villages and agricultural landscapes while gaining a closer impression of everyday Balinese life. After returning to the accommodation, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. An optional Balinese cooking workshop can be arranged.

Temples, Villages & Mount Batur

Visit Goa Gajah before continuing through the countryside towards Penglipuran, a traditional village known for its distinctive layout and cultural traditions. Continue to Kintamani for panoramic views over Mount Batur and Lake Batur. After enjoying the highland scenery, check in to your accommodation.

Besakih, Hidden Waterfall & Tirta Gangga

Travel east to Pura Agung Besakih, Bali’s largest and most important temple complex. Continue to Tukad Cepung Waterfall and take a short walk through the surrounding landscape. Continue to Tirta Gangga Water Palace, where you can explore its gardens and water features before arriving in Candidasa.

East Bali Heritage & Traditional Villages

Visit Goa Lawah Temple before continuing to Kertagosa, a historic royal complex known for its traditional architecture and painted ceilings. Continue to Tenganan Pegringsingan, one of Bali’s traditional Bali Aga villages, where local customs, agriculture and handicrafts remain an important part of community life. Continue to Sanur for check-in.

Free Day by the Coast

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Sanur. Relax on the beach, explore the local streets and shops, rent a bicycle or simply enjoy the facilities of your accommodation. An optional Balinese cooking workshop can also be arranged.

Departure or Continue Your Journey

After breakfast, transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport for your onward flight, or continue your Indonesian journey by fast boat to Nusa Lembongan, Lombok or Gili Trawangan.

A Complete & Active Bali Journey

The journey combines cultural sightseeing, outdoor adventure and free time. Rafting and cycling require a moderate level of activity, while several sightseeing days include walking and short hikes. The itinerary can be customized according to your interests and travel pace.
