Group Tour Java – Bali 19D/18N

DAY 01. ARRIVAL JAKARTA (D)

Upon arrival at Jakarta Soekarno Hatta Airport, you will meet your driver. Then the driver will escort you directly to the hotel for check-in. At 6:00 pm you can enjoy the welcome dinner.

DAY 02. JAKARTA (BLD)

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 9:00 am and go to Tugu Monas Independence Monument. We will walk across the large grounds to the towering monument, then we take the elevator to the top. Here you will have great views of the giant metropolis. After enjoying the view, we walk back to the bus to continue the drive to Kota Tua, old Batavia city. At Fatahillah Square you can visit the old governor’s building, presently the Batavia Museum. Meanwhile, in the City Hall Square, you can rent a bike and take a ride around City Hall. Then you will have a tour of the Wayang puppet museum which used to be a church.

Furthermore, we will have lunch at Café Batavia, where typical Dutch dishes are also on the menu. The atmosphere and interior will take you back to the 1950s and the walls are covered with portrait photos of historical royalty and legends. Next, we will visit the old port Sunda Kelapa, you can see the traditional wooden ships. The port was used for the trading center out of which Jakarta was founded. However, today the port is only used for national distribution and loading and unloading is still mainly done by manual labor. After a walk along the boulevard, you will go back to the hotel.

DAY 03. JAKARTA – BANDUNG (BLD)

At 10:00 am, you will be picked up and we will start the journey in Java to Bandung, which used to be considered the capital of Asia and Africa. Upon arrival, we will take a short city tour through Asia Africa street, you can see the old city full of history. Among others, you will pass the Savoy Homan Hotel and the government building Gedung Sate, the most expensive art deco building in Bandung.

Then we will end the city tour at Padasuka Village to attend a Bamboo music and dance performance by Angklung Saung Udjo music school. Before the performance you can have a drink, take a look at how the musical instruments are made by hand and browse around the souvenir shop. The dance performance starts at 3:30 p.m. and lasts about 1.5 hours. At the end of the performance, you can dance along with the children. Finally, you will transfer to the hotel.

DAY 04. BANDUNG (B)

Today is a free day and can be filled as you wish. You can take a look at the Jeans Street or go shopping in 1 of the large shopping malls of Bandung. Have a nice dinner with live music in the lively Braga Street or relax at the hotel.

DAY 05. BANDUNG (BLD)

After breakfast we will depart at 8:00 a.m. to Tangkuban Perahu, 1 of the most famous volcanoes of Java, located more than 2080 meters above sea level. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view from above and if desired make a decent of about 1 hour. Then we continue to the old tea factory, you will have a tour and see the entire process of tea production. Furthermore, we continue to Ciater Hotspring. We will have lunch here at the restaurant and after lunch you can enjoy and relax in the hot spring water. Then you will visit the Floating Market in Lembang, where you can try various local dishes, snacks and drinks.

DAY 10. YOGYAKARTA – BROMO (BLD)

After breakfast, we depart for a long drive of about 7 hours to Bromo. On the way we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. You will stay in a village near the Bromo. You can dine at the accommodation and rest before the excursion to Bromo before the sunrise.

DAY 11. BROMO – BANYUWANGI (BLD)

At 3:00 in the night, you will be picked up by jeep and go to the Kingkong viewpoint to admire the magnificent sunrise at Bromo. Then you will go to the sandy plain where you can continue to the crater by horse or walk. After the excursion, you will go back to the accommodation for breakfast and shower. After check-out, we travel further to the east of Java. During the drive, we stop for lunch, stretch the legs and take pictures. Upon arrival in Banyuwangi, you will transfer to the hotel for check-in.

DAY 12. BANYUWANGI – LOVINA (BLD)

After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, we will go to Ketapang port to cross to Bali by ferry. It takes about 1 hour, but due to the time difference you will arrive in Bali 2 hours later. From Gilimanuk port we start the journey in Bali along the north coast to Lovina. On the way we will have lunch at a beautiful location on the north coast. In Lovina, you will go to the hotel for check-in.
(Optional, you can take a trek to Ijen Crater to admire the blue fire. You will then leave at 1:00 am by jeep to the base of the volcano and a trekking of about 2 hours to the crater).

DAY 13. LOVINA (B)

Today is a free day and can be filled as you wish. You can stroll along the promenade and the black sand beach. Enjoy the view on a terrace or relax at the hotel.
(Optional, you can take a dolphin spotting and snorkeling boat trip. You will then be picked up at 6:30 am).

DAY 14. LOVINA – UBUD (BLD)

After breakfast, we will take a look at the local fruit market and then you will go to the Git-Git waterfall. With a short walk through a beautiful green nature, the waterfall is easy to reach. Here you can enjoy the waterfall and the beautiful surroundings for a while. Next, you will go to the Ulundanu Beratan Temple with its dazzling lake. After visiting the temple, you will be introduced to different kinds of flowers, trees and plants at the botanical garden Kebun Raya Bedegul. On the way to Ubud, we will make another stop at Jatiluwih to enjoy the view of the rice fields. Before check-in, you will go to a restaurant for dinner.
